Bena Charity Concludes Beekeeping and Honey Production Training Course.

Bena Charity (BCFHD) today concluded a beekeeping and honey production training course for 40 participants from Al-Yaman Isolation, Al-Qahfah, and neighboring areas.

The course, which was implemented within the Case Management activity of the “integrated Response Project for Education and Protection Services for the Most Affected Children in Maqbanah District”, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), aimed to empower participants to acquire beekeeping and honey production skills, which will contribute to improving their livelihoods and creating new job opportunities for them.

The trainees were distributed as follows:
Al-Yemen Isolation: 17 trainees (7 from Al-Yemen and 10 from Al-Hajab Camp)
Al-Qahfah and neighboring areas: 23 trainees

Over the course of the training period, which lasted for several weeks, participants received theoretical and practical information on various aspects of beekeeping, including:
Selecting an appropriate apiary site
Types of beehives
Methods of purchasing and bringing bee colonies
Caring for and feeding bees
Controlling bee diseases and enemies
Extracting and processing honey

Beekeeping tools and equipment will also be provided to the participants in the coming period to help them start their own projects.

At the end of the course, the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to Yemen Humanitarian Fund and Bena Charity for providing them with this opportunity to learn beekeeping, which will contribute to improving their lives and the lives of their families.
