Bena Charity Participates In A Workshop In Jordan To Develop Humanitarian Work

The Executive Manager of Bena Charity for Human Development (BCHD), Mr. Riyad Sallam, participated in the workshop ” Building a Better Response to the International Humanitarian Action System” organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jordan during the period 24-26 October 2017. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and in partnership with the International Medical Corps, Concern Worldwide and Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. The workshop comes within a series of specialized training courses entitled “Building a Better Response” targeting the OIC partner organizations. Mr. Sallam stated that the workshop aimed to strengthen the capacity of national and international NGOs and other humanitarian actors to qualify them to participate in the international humanitarian coordination system, which will improve overall coordination and respond to the needs of people affected by crises.

In the same context, the Project Manager praised the active participation of BCHD that contributed greatly to the success of the workshop, hoping the knowledge gained in this workshop will facilitate BCHD work in the humanitarian field.
