Training Courses Conclude to Enhance Water Resource Management and Conflict Resolution in Taiz and Hodeidah.

Intensive training courses organized by Bena Charity Humanitarian Development (BCFHD), in partnership with International Organization for Migration (IOM) and with support of the KfW Development Bank, concluded today, Wednesday, as part of the “Project of Enhancing Water Resource Management in IDP Communities in South Ta’iz” project.

The courses targeted 60 members of community water management committees and 30 members of conflict resolution committees in Al Mukha Directorate, Taiz City Directorates, and Hays Directorate in Hodeidah Governorate.

The courses covered vital topics such as integrated water resources management, flood irrigation management, climate change, and the development of community water management plans. In addition, conflict resolution committees were trained on developing internal rules and regulations for community resource centers, conflict management, community dialogue, and mediation.

This project aims to enhance the capacity of local communities to sustainably manage their water resources and resolve water-related conflicts, contributing to improved livelihoods and stability in the targeted areas.
