A delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), represented by Mr. Alaa Abdel Rab, Program and Monitoring Officer, continued its field visits to projects implemented by Bena in Taizz Governorate. The visit targeted the “integrated Response Project for Education and Protection Services for the Most Affected Children in Maqbanah District”, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the progress of the project and the services it provides to the beneficiary children, including:
Education: Providing quality educational opportunities for children and providing them with psychosocial support.
Protection: Providing protection services for children at risk, such as violence, exploitation and neglect.
Psychosocial support: Providing psychosocial support for children affected by the conflict.
The delegation also met with some of the project beneficiaries and listened to their testimonies about the impact of the project on their lives. The delegation expressed its appreciation for BCFHD’s efforts in implementing this important project, which contributes to improving the lives of children in Maqbana District.
This visit comes within the framework of OCHA’s keenness to follow up on the progress of humanitarian projects and ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between OCHA and BCFHD and to work on expanding the scope of cooperation in the future.
