Bena Charity has launched the “Emergency Cholera Response” activity in the Al-Mudafer, Al-Wazi’iyah, Muza, and Sabr Al-Muadim districts of Taiz Governorate, funded by UNICEF and supported by Yemen Humanitarian Fund.
The activity aims to reduce the spread of cholera in these districts by raising awareness about disease prevention methods and distributing cholera kits and chlorine tablets.
The activity targets 69 confirmed cholera cases with 20 contact families per case, for a total of 1,449 families.
The activity includes 1,449 hygiene kits containing personal hygiene items, in addition to the distribution of chlorine tablets to homes affected by the cholera epidemic.
BCFHD also organizes awareness campaigns on cholera prevention methods, including the distribution of posters and brochures.
