In a heartwarming ceremony, 20 displaced families in Ma’afir district, Taizz Governorate, today received contracts for new housing units, thanks to joint efforts between Bena Charity and Pure Hands Organization, in coordination with the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons.
During the handover ceremony, First Deputy Governor of Taizz Dr. Abdulqawi Al-Mikhlafi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to international and local organizations, especially Pure Hands Organization, for their continuous support for the displaced in the governorate, praising the efforts of Bena Charity in implementing the project on the ground.
Dr. Al-Mikhlafi affirmed the local authority’s commitment, led by Governor Nabil Shamsan, to provide all necessary facilities to organizations working in the humanitarian field, in the belief of the importance of their role in alleviating the suffering of the displaced and those affected by the war.
For his part, Chairman of BCFHD Dr. Abdulkarim Shamsan explained that the project includes the construction of 20 housing units, each consisting of two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom, in order to provide safe and decent shelter for displaced families.
Dr. Shamsan pointed out that BCFHFD is striving to implement more relief and humanitarian projects, in cooperation with its local and international partners, to alleviate the severity of the humanitarian crisis experienced by the people of Taizz Governorate.
The handover ceremony was attended by Director General of Ma’afir district Adel Al-Mashmar, Director General of Legal Affairs in the Governorate Amin Fath, Director of the Executive Unit for Displaced Persons Ali Qa’id Al-Shamiri, Deputy Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bakari, and Media Advisor to the Taizz Governorate Muhammad Marsh.
