Monthly meeting of child protection committees in Maqbanah district.

On Sunday, January 7, 2024, the second monthly meeting of child protection committees was held in Maqbanah district, Taiz governorate, as part of the project to Provision of integrated response of education and child protection services to the most vulnerable children in Maqbanah district, Taiz, funded by YHF.

The meeting included a case management officer, case management supervisors, social workers, and child protection committees.

During the meeting, the activities that took place during the past month were discussed, which included awareness-raising about child rights, studying the cases of vulnerable children under case management, and developing an implementation mechanism.

The challenges and obstacles facing the work were also discussed to ensure its progress in a coordinated manner towards achieving the project’s goals.

The participants in the meeting stressed the importance of coordination between the various stakeholders in child protection to provide the necessary care for the most vulnerable children in the district.

The meeting comes within the framework of the efforts being made by the stakeholders in child protection in Yemen to ensure the rights of children and provide them with care.
