Bena Charity, funded by Pure Hands organization, launched the second batch of irrigation networks and hand plows distribution activity to farmers as part of the Agricultural Villages Development Project in Al-Shamayteen and Al-Mawasit districts of Ta’izz governorate.
The distribution included 40 farmers in five agricultural villages, four of which are in Al-Shamayteen district, Deb Al-Kharej district, and one in Al-Mawasit district, Al-Akhmor district.
The launching was attended by Mr. Muhammad Mahmoud, head of the Services Committee in the local council of Al-Shamayteen district, Mr. Sultan Al-Asbahi, director of the Agriculture Office in Al-Shamayteen district, Mr. Muhammad Al-Maqtari, representative of Pure Hands organization, Mr. Tawfiq Abdul-Khabir, secretary-general of BCFHD, and Mr. Suleiman Al-Samadi, project manager.
Mr. Muhammad Al-Maqtari, representative of Pure Hands organization, stressed that the project aims to promote agricultural sustainability and achieve food security in Ta’izz governorate.
For his part, Mr. Tawfiq Abdul-Khabir, secretary-general of BCFHD, thanked Pure Hands organization for supporting this project, and expressed his hope that the project would contribute to improving the living standards of farmers and increasing their agricultural production.
The beneficiaries of the project praised the efforts of the association and the supporting organization, confirming that the project will contribute to increasing their agricultural production and improving their income.
