BCFHD concludes the training program for protection teams in Maqbanah District.

Continuing its efforts to provide support and care for the most vulnerable children in Yemen, BCFHD has concluded its training program for protection teams in Maqbanah District. This training program is part of the project “Integrated Response for Education and Protection Services for the Most Vulnerable Children in Maqbanah District, Taiz,” funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF).

The training program included training for several specialized teams in child protection. The following teams participated in the training:

1. Child Protection Committees (CPCs) Training: Twenty-four trainees were trained to work in the field of child protection.
2. Project Field Team Training: Ten field team members were trained to implement the project and provide integrated services for children.
3. Friendly Spaces Team Training: Ten participants were trained in establishing and enhancing safe and child-friendly spaces.
4. Social Workers Team Training: Seven trainees, who are social workers, were trained to identify children at protection risk and make case management referrals.
5. MHPSS Team Training: Ten MHPSS facilitators were trained to provide home-based MHPSS support for children affected by conflict circumstances.

The training program represents an important step in enhancing the capabilities of specialized teams to provide protection and care for vulnerable children. The project aims to have a positive impact on the lives of children and the local community in the region, as well as enhancing their opportunities for education and development.

Mr. Zaid Al-Amari, the project manager, expressed his gratitude to the YHF for their continuous support. He added that the conclusion of the training program is a significant achievement and reflects BCFHD’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian work and providing support to children and needy communities in Yemen. It is expected that this program will have a positive impact on the lives of children and the community in the region, contributing to the provision of a safe and stimulating environment for their growth and development.
