Within support from Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), BCFHD has successfully disbursed the first round of cash incentives to volunteer teachers in the Maqbanah district.

In commemoration of International Volunteer Day, BCFHD commenced the distribution of the first round of cash incentives to both male and female volunteer teachers in the Maqbanah district. This activity is part of the larger project titled “Provision of integrated response of education and child protection services to the most vulnerable children in Maqbanah district, Taiz,” which is funded by the YHF.

A total of 77 volunteer teachers will benefit from the cash incentives provided by BCFHD in this initial distribution. The distribution of cash incentives will continue for a period of 8 months, with the primary objective of boosting motivation and encouraging volunteer teachers to excel in their roles, thereby enhancing the overall quality of education in the region.

This activity is an integral part of BCFHD’s comprehensive strategy to support education and improve learning opportunities for children. It encompasses various components, such as enhancing school infrastructure, providing educational materials, and offering training programs for teachers in the most affected areas. The ultimate aim is to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for the most vulnerable children in the district, empowering them and improving their educational prospects for the future.

Mr. Zaid Al-Amri, the project manager, underscored that this significant step reflects BCFHD’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the capabilities and competencies of dedicated educational professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education. Consequently, it contributes to raising students’ academic achievements and overall educational standards in the region.

This activity is part of a targeted plan that includes various initiatives, such as providing school desks, constructing additional classrooms, distributing student kits, equipping teachers with necessary supplies, installing solar systems, and offering hygiene kits, among other endeavors.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Hamid Al-Khulaidi, the Director of the Maqbanah District, who commended BCFHD for its pivotal role in supporting education. Additionally, Mr. Mohamed Al-Kadihi, the manager of the Education Office in Maqbanah, highlighted the pressing shortage of teachers in the district’s schools and affirmed that this particular initiative addresses a significant gap in the educational needs of the directorate.
