“Distribution of 4,500 bags of animal feed concentrate and 4,500 cubes of mineral blocks to support poor families in The Dhubab-Yemen.”

Within the project “The Integrated Livelihood Support in Areas at Risk of Famine” in Dhubab districts-Taiz the distribution team completed the distribution of 4,500 bags of Animal Feed Concentrate and 4,500 cubes of mineral blocks to 1,500 Households. The project is funded by the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund, and implemented by Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nation (FAO) in partnership with Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD).

This food assistance to animals aims to support poor families at risk of starvation, giving them the power to resist and restore livelihoods. The provided Animal Feed Concentrate and mineral blocks help to improve livestock feeding status and increase production, thereby enhancing families’ sustainability and improving their income.

It should be noted that this activity is part of a comprehensive package of aid, where 6,000 sheep will also be provided to these families, as well as nutrition training and cash assistance.

These integrated efforts are aimed at improving the living and economic conditions of vulnerable families in the Dhubab District. This intervention contributes in improving families’ sustainability and increasing their capacity to achieve self-sufficiency.
