“Training of 1,500 women on family nutrition funded by the United Nations.”

Under the project “The Integrated Livelihood Support in Areas at Risk of Famine”, funded by the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), a BCFHD, in partnership along the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), conducted a nutritional awareness training in the Directorate of Dhubab.

The activity included training of 1,500 women of childbearing age (18-45 years) on family nutrition, and continued for 6 days.

The training was carried out by nutritionists who were nominated by the Health Bureau in accordance with the standards approved by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). These specialists received a five-day training workshop from FAO’s Feeding Unit in Aden.

The course aimed to raise nutritional awareness among women of reproductive age and enable them to make healthy decisions regarding family nutrition. and contributing to health promotion, quality nutrition and improved livelihoods in society.

This training is part of the comprehensive project’s efforts to support affected families and promote the sustainability of livelihoods in areas most at risk of starvation. The project seeks to empower women and enhance their role in achieving healthy and sustainable nutrition for themselves and their families.
