“Unconditional Cash Assistance Distributed to 1,500 Beneficiaries in Dhubab District”.

As part of the “The Integrated Livelihood Support in Areas at Risk of Famine” project, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in partnership with Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), has implemented a project to distribute unconditional cash assistance to 1,500 beneficiaries in Dhubab district. The distribution took place from October 16th to October 24th, 2023.

The objective of this cash assistance is to alleviate the financial burdens on affected families in the region and enable them to meet their basic needs. This initiative is part of the international community’s efforts to address the humanitarian challenges and famine crisis in Yemen.

The project was funded through the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), which aims to provide support and assistance to crisis-affected areas.

This strong collaboration between FAO and BCFHD reflects their shared commitment to improving living conditions and providing social protection for the most vulnerable communities.

It is expected that this cash assistance will contribute to improving the living conditions of the beneficiary families in Dhubab district, offering them an opportunity for recovery and stability amidst challenging circumstances.
