In a step aimed at providing temporary housing for displaced people and enhancing relief and humanitarian development efforts, Bena Charity for Human Development (BCFHD), with funding from Pure Hands Organization, has Inaugurated a new project that includes the construction of 20 temporary housing units in Al-Ma’afir Directorate.
This project aims to provide safe and suitable shelter for 20 families of displaced people who have been forced to flee due to armed conflicts and harsh conditions in the region. The temporary housing units have been designed to meet the needs of the displaced people and provide a conducive living environment, each consisting of two rooms, a hall, a kitchen, and a bathroom.
The project’s official opening was attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Hajjaji, the President of Pure Hands Organization, Dr. Abdulmajid Al-Sha’abi, the Country Director of the organization, Mr. Najib Ghazi, the Executive Director of the organization, Mr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Sanawi, the Deputy Governor, Mr. Adel Al-Mashmir, the Director of Al-Ma’afir Directorate, and Dr. Abdul Kareem Shamsan, the President of Bena Charity.
This step is part of the shelter projects undertaken by Bena Charity, which aims to improve the living conditions of displaced people and provide them with necessary support. The association works closely with local authorities and other humanitarian organizations to provide basic services and aid in achieving sustainable development in the region.
Commenting on the official opening of the project, Dr. Abdul Kareem Shamsan, the President of Bena Charity, stated, “We are proud to implement this important project that will provide a safe shelter for displaced people and contribute to improving their living conditions. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Ali Qaid, the Director of the Executive Unit for Displaced People in the Governorate, Mr. Bassam Al-Haddad, the Director of the Executive Unit in the Directorate, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Bakari, the Deputy Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Mr. Qaid Saad, the representative of the Planning and International Cooperation Office, Mr. Tawfiq Abdulkhabeer, the Secretary-General of Bena Charity, Mr. Suleiman Al-Samadi, the Projects Manager at the Association, and Mr. Zaher Al-Yousefi, the Project Engineer.
