On Monday, May 15, 2023, BCFHD, in the presence of the local authority of AlMudhaffar district, launched the distribution of the first payment of cash assistance for house rehabilitation and reconstruction to 33 HHs of returnees in AlMudhaffar District – Taiz governorate.
This intervention comes within the activities of a project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable families of returnees and to sustain their returns in AlMudhaffar District through the provision of sustainable shelter solutions.
Dr. Marwan – the Project Manager – said that today cash assistance for house rehabilitation would be distributed to 33 families out of 70 families and that the distribution will continue to the rest of the families during tomorrow.
It is worth noting that the cash assistance for house rehabilitation will be delivered in three payments to facilitate monitoring the rehabilitation works and to ensure using the cash assistance in line with its purpose.
The launch was attended by Mr. Tawfiq Al-Yousufi, the Secretary-General of BCFHD, and Mr. Tariq Al-Fohaid, Head of the Services Committee in AlMudhaffar District, who appreciated the efforts made by BCFHD to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable families in the district and thanked the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), the funder of the project.
