On Sunday 7 May 2023, BCFHD launched the provision of new school desks to 16 targeted schools in Salh district of Taiz governorate, as part of the activities of the YHF funded-project entitled” Improving the educational environment for the vulnerable school-aged children in the affected schools of Salh district, Taiz Governorate, under priority 2″

Mr. Zaid Al-Amiri, project manager, said that under this activity 527 new school desks are distributed to 16 targeted schools in Salh district where more than 1,500 students get benefit.

The inauguration of the activity was in the presence of Mr. Tariq Al-Hammadi, Executive Manager of BCFHD, Mr. Abdo Ali, Manager of MoSAL Governorate Office, Mr. Aref Abdo Saif, Director of Salh district, Mr. Bagash Al-Mikhlafi, Deputy Manager of Governorate Education Office , Mr. Adel Taher, Head of the Projects Department in Governorate Education Office, and Mr. Muhammad Abdo Hasan, Manager of District Education Office, a number of members of the School Councils and a number of project employees.

It is worth noting that the project’s activities include provision of cash incentives and training to volunteer teachers in addition to provision of whiteboards with their accessories, Hygiene kits and cleaning materials and solar power systems to the targeted schools in Salh District.
