On Monday, March 20, 2023, BCFHD, in the presence of representatives of the local authority, launched the distribution of the first round of cash assistance for rental subsidies to 74 families in Salh district of Taiz governorate.
This intervention comes within the activities of a project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable families of IDPs, host community and returnees in Salh district through the provision of quite sustainable shelter solutions.
Dr. Marwan – the Project Manager – said that today cash assistance would be distributed to 74 families out of 348 families and that the distribution will continue to the rest of the families during the next three days.
It is worth noting that each targeted family will receive cash assistance for rental subsidies for a period of six months.
The launch was attended by Eng. Aref Al-Yousifi, the General Director of Salh District, who appreciated the efforts made by BCFHD to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable families in the district and thanked the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), the funder of the project.
