BCFHD receives the delegation of the United Nations organizations and the German embassy

As part of the field visits in Taiz, which are carried out by the delegation of the United Nations organizations and the German embassy, ​​ Riyadh Shamsan, Director of Programs at the Bena Charity for Human Development BCFHD, as area based coordinator of the IDPs sites in Al-Jahmaliya Al-Wusta area in the Directorate of Salah, received today a delegation of UNICEF and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) headed by Atsuru Takashi and Sunitaka Suchaya and the head of cooperation in the German Embassy, ​​Marcela Masiarik.

During the visit, which aimed to get acquainted with the humanitarian needs closely, the urgent needs in the field of water and sanitation were presented, as well as the suffering of the IDPs and their basic needs.

During their tour in the IDPs sites, the delegation met the children of Al-Najah School in Al-Jahmaliya, where they listened to some examples of the students.

The delegation was accompanied by Eng. Ali Al-Qubati, coordinator of the WASH Cluster, and from the government side, Mr. Ali Qaed, Head of the IDPs Executive Unit in Taiz.

It is worth noting that the delegation had met with the governor of the governorate, head of the local council, Mr. Nabil Shamsan, yesterday, Monday, and discussed with them interventions to meet the needs of the governorate in terms of water, sanitation and nutrition.
