The first meeting with the local authority and community leaders in the Al-Mawasit District

BCFHD held the first meeting with the local authority and community leaders in Al-Mawasit district within the activities of the “Emergency Livelihood Assistance Project to Address the Negative Impact of High Prices in Yemen”, funded from the joint budget through the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) ).

At the beginning of the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the local council in the district center (Al Ain), the Director General of Al-Mawasit District, the head of the local council, Mr. Amin Sharaf Al-Fadhli, welcomed the visiting team from Bena Association headed by Dr. Faisal Abdulghani, the project manager, who in turn thanked the association for the representatives of the local authority in Al-Mawasit district.

During the meeting, many technical aspects of the project to be implemented in the district were discussed, in addition to defining the scope of targeting in the isolated and affiliated villages of Al-Muwasit, and facilitating the process of community mobilization and registration of beneficiaries.

For his part, Al-Fadhli thanked Bena Association and the FAO for this intervention, and promised to provide all facilities to implement the project.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman Muglas, Secretary-General of the Local Council, and Director of the Agriculture Office in the Al-Mawasit District.

It is worth noting that the project aims to provide agricultural seeds and emergency cash assistance to 4,000 families in the Al-Mawasit district
