(BCFHD) distributes the first batch of cash assistance to rehabilitate damaged houses in Al-Mudhaffar District, Taiz

Today, BCFHD distributed the first batch of cash assistance within the project “Rehabilitation of the Damaged Houses of the Vulnerable (Priority 2) – linking this to livelihood support to empower the targeted families in Al Mudhaffar District – Taiz Governorate” funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund YHF.

The distribution targets 44 families in the Mudhaffar district (Bir al-Wafi neighborhood and Shaab al-Haddad neighborhood), whose homes were damaged by the war.

The rehabilitation activities include installing and maintaining doors and windows, interior and exterior coverings, installing water tanks, sanitary and electrical installations, and providing homes with a solar array that will be used in home lighting.

The project comes as an extension of the association’s interventions in the accommodation sector, where this is the first batch and will be followed by two batches in the coming months.
