Under the patronage of the Governor of Taiz Governorate, and under the slogan “Cleaning of my city is my responsibility,” BCFHD organized the expanded meeting of the executive offices, civil society organizations, and public and private institutions in Taiz on “The Governance of Waste Management” in the presence of the Deputy Governor.

In the meeting, Dr. Abdul Karim Shamsan, President of BCFHD, pointed out the importance of the meeting to improve the cleanliness of the city, protect the environment, and came up with objective recommendations to dispose of waste through an integrative work among all.

Deputy Governor, emphasized the importance of strengthening the role of the local authority and civil society in protecting the environment, calling for concerted efforts to get rid of waste and enhance the cleanliness of the city of Taiz.

The meeting included many discussions, objective proposals by the participants, which focused on the need for a sustainable program for city cleaning, developing solutions for the spread of waste and the diseases and the spread of mosquitoes and flies, and intensifying awareness of citizens, in addition to many recommendations aimed at promoting and improving city cleaning and protecting the environment.
