Today, Thursday, October 7, 2021, BCFHD launched the kick-off workshop of the project intitled “Teach her Technology to Promote Peace” which is funded by the Cultural Exchange Program at the US Embassy in Yemen.
Riyadh Shamsan, the project manager, explained that the main objective of this project is to improve self-learning skills for the purposes of study and academic research using Internet-equipped labs in order to access additional scientific resources, in addition, the project will enhance the role of women in peace building by using technology.
He added, The project targets 180 female students from science colleges in Aden and Abyan governorates, in coordination with local authorities and the administration of the targeted colleges.
The workshop was attended by the President of BCFHD, Executive Director, representative of women’s sector and the protection officer, in addition to the project team.
