Within the framework of evaluating the activities of the project “Supporting the resilience of vulnerable HHs in Ash Shamayatayn district” which is funded by FAO, BCFHD received the delegation of FAO at the BCFHD’s branch in Al-Shamayatayn District, Taiz Governorate.

During the two-day visit, the visiting delegation met with the Farmers Field Schools training team to give them the necessary instructions for the training as well as visiting agricultural fields to assess the viability and safety of the distributed seeds and their suitability to the agricultural environment in the district.

It is worth noting that this project targets 2,750 HHs in different subdistricts in Al-Shamayatayn district and it was inaugurated in July 2020, and it includes many agricultural and animal activities, most notably training on correct agricultural practices, training farmers on the fattening process for small animals and cows, the distribution of agricultural and animal inputs, and the distribution of equipment for the manufacture of cheese and dairy products.
