BCFHD Concludes distributing more than 642 tons of food baskets in 6 governorates

Funded by KSrelief, BCFHD concluded the project of securing and distributing food baskets to needy families in six Yemeni governorates.

Abdulkarem Shamsan, President of BCFHD, explained that the number of baskets that were distributed exceeded (642) tons of food containing the necessary items, which were received from the KSrelief through 19,761 food baskets, targeting the categories of the IDPs, families of orphans, people with special needs and the poorest HHs.
He added: This project benefited (59,286 individuals), from (10,221 HHs) in 21 districts in the governorates of Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout, Al-Mahra, Taiz and Aden.

The implementation of the project was carried out in coordination with the local authorities in each of the targeted governorates, where the targeted HHs were selected according to specific criteria that ensure the delivery of food to the neediest families, and the project was launched in the presence of representatives of the relevant government offices in each governorate.

At the conclusion of his statement, Mr. Shamsan praised KSrelief for its financing of this project, noting that this aid comes as a continuation of the Kingdom’s humanitarian role to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the current humanitarian crisis.
