BCFHD “hosts a child protection and protection from mine training course for Education Cluster partners in Taiz.

For the second day, the training course in the field of “child protection and protection from mines” continues in Taiz city. The training course is organized by the Education Cluster in coordination with BCFHD, mdf, and the Executive Center for Mine Action, and hosted by “BCFHD” at its headquarters in Taiz.

The Director of the Training Department and Coordinator of the Education Cluster at the Education Office- appreciated the interaction of BCFHD, mdf and the Executive Center for Mine Action for their efforts to implement the training course for the  members of the Education Cluster. Noting that the education sector in Taiz Governorate is in great and urgent need to implement many interventions and programs activities,for it is one of the largest Yemeni governorates to enroll in education.

(25)  participants  in The four days  training. The training course, and it includes several main axes. The first day included the generalization of protection and risk analysis, while the second day included a child protection policy and a code of conduct, Sexual harassment and bullying.

The third day includes an overview of mines, the awareness concept, their objectives and their types, in addition to identifying the types of mines, explosives, booby-traps and remnants of war, while the  final day includes identifying the effects of mines and war remnants and ways to identify suspicious areas and their signs.
