Funded by YHF, BCFHD concluded the training of water committees on managing, operating and maintaining solar energy systems for water projects that were rehabilitated in Al Misrakh District.
Eng. Mutahar Al-Shumairi – Project Manager – explained that the training activity comes within the framework of the project “”WASH basic services and facilities for IDPs and vulnerable people in hosting communities – rehabilitation and restoring – in high priority districts in Taiz”
He referred that the second training was implemented during (October 5th -6th ) targeting (6 males, 6 females) of GARWASP employees, specializing in operating water projects in the targeted districts, by trainers from (LWSC) and (GARWASP).
It is worth mentioning that the training included components of solar powered pumping systems, as well as operations and maintenance, and managing the common errors that may occur.
The training also touched on the issue of activating the principle of accountability towards the beneficiaries and activating an effective communication mechanism between them and the local water and wastewater corporation.
