BCFHD continues to train the water committees on managing and maintaining solar energy systems for water projects.

Funded by  YHF, BCFHD implemented the training of water committees on managing, operating and maintaining solar energy system for water projects that were rehabilitated in Al Misrakh District.

Eng. Mutahar Al-Shumairi – Project Manager – explained that the training activity comes within the framework of the project ““WASH basic services and facilities for IDPs and vulnerable people in hosting communities – rehabilitation and restoring – in high priority districts in Taiz”

He referred that the second training was implemented during (October 8th -9th ) targeting (9 males, 3 females) of GARWASP employees , specializing in operating water projects in the targeted districts, by  trainers from (LWSC) and (GARWASP).

It is worth mentioning  that the training included components of solar powered pumping systems, as well as operations and maintenance, and managing  the common errors that may occur.

The training was attended by the General Director of the Al-Masrakh district  who praised the efforts of BCFHD in implementing such projects, stressing the importance of preserving these projects because they will benefit them in a sustainable manner, reduce fuel costs and bring water from far away.
