In Taiz, the implementation of the Vocational Training and Economic Empowerment Program for 200 female heads of household is continuing with the generous funding of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Actions implemented by Bena’a Charitable Society for Human Development, which targets female heads of households in the districts of Al-Mudhaffar, Al-Qahirah, Salah and Al-Massit.

It is worth mentioning that the program aims to empower women in four areas (sewing and embroidery – handicrafts – hairdressing and engraving – making incense and perfumes ) to reach a career that enables women to have a source of income to help them support their families and achieve self-sufficiency.

The inauguration ceremony of the program was held on August 1, 2019 in the presence of Mr. Abdo Ali, Director of Social Affairs and Labor Office in Taiz, and Mr. Mohammed Abdullah, Executive Director of the Sub-Committee for Relief and the leadership of Bena’a Charitable Society and the women targeted by the project.

The inauguration ceremony received unprecedented attention from satellite channels and news sites, whose correspondents attended to cover the event, where it was published in 7 satellite channels and more than 15 news sites reflecting the echo of the project in the media, which shows the need of the province for such development projects.
