Bena Charity For Human Development Implements Several Projects During Ramadan

Bena Charity for Human Development carried out a number of charitable projects during the holy month of Ramadan including breakfasting, food baskets distribution , distribution of Eid clothes and distribution of sponsorship dues to 37000 beneficiaries .

Food Baskets Distribution

The project was implemented in several rural and urban districts, benefiting 1121 families. About 1121 food baskets with necessary food items: flour, rice, sugar, milk, oil, dates, beans targeted 1121 affected and displaced families in districts of Almwaset, Almadhafar, Alqahera and Salah.

Breakfasting

The project came as a response to meet the needs of needy people, especially in the holy month of Ramadan and at these hard times that Yemen is experiencing. The project implemented annually by the Charity provided ready meals as well as essential food assistance including: flour, sugar, rice, cooking oil, beans, milk and dates for poor families , orphans and those affected by the war. The project targeted 20220 individuals within the governorates of Taiz and Sana’a.

Dues of the Sponsored

The dues of the sponsored of the first quarter of 2017 were distributed to 947 beneficiaries including orphans, poor families, disabled people and teachers.

Distribution of Eid Clothes

Bena Charity concluded its Ramadan projects with distribution of Eid clothes, which benefited 7588 individuals from different categories. The project aims to bring joy and happiness to the needy children and make them feel pleased in Eid especially under the difficult conditions experienced by Yemeni people. The project was implemented in two phases. In the first phase, a shipment of clothes arrived from the Yemeni community in America and was distributed to the marginalized and the displaced people in the sheltering centers in Attorba and Alma’afer District. Poor and affected families in the city and rural areas were also targeted in this phase through youth initiatives and field committees benefiting 7140 individuals. The second phase of the project targeted 448 orphan children.
